Department of Social Services Child Care Subsidy
The Child Care Subsidy program distributes child care vouchers for eligible families. Eligibility is determined according to the family’s situation, household income and composition. Contact the Transylvania County Department of Social Services for more details.
Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) Care Network
Do you regularly care for a young child/ren (age 0-6)? Are you interested in networking with other providers in your community, participating in monthly chats surrounding child care, and accessing valuable education resources? Smart Start of Transylvania County’s FFN Care Network is open to all unlicensed caregivers, including stay at home parents. Participants will receive a gift card and developmental tool kits for participating.
